Dr. Ladina Rageth becomes the Executive Director of the Swiss School of Public Governance (SSPG)

Dr. Ladina Rageth will work together with Prof. Robert Perich and Cédric Bolli to further develop the SSPG.

Starting on April 1, 2023, Dr. Ladina Rageth becomes the new Executive Director of the Swiss School of Public Governance (SSPG). She will work together with Professor Robert Perich and Cédric Bolli to further develop the SSPG, provide further education on public management, governance and administration, and conduct translational research in the field of higher education.

Ladina Rageth is a social scientist with many years of experience in research and project management. She holds a master’s degree in sociology from the University of Zurich, where she focused on the sociology of education. After working as project manager for a private research and consultancy firm in Zurich and as university relations and program manager at Swissnex India in Bangalore, she completed her PhD in the research division education systems at the KOF Swiss Economic Institute, ETH Zurich. Afterwards, she worked as a PostDoc and Senior Researcher at the Chair of Education Systems for many years. Her research and translational projects centered on the sociology of education, with a specific focus on the labor market outcomes, social status, and institutionalization of education and training programs. She not only applied diverse social science methods to her research interests but also substantiated her empirical research with conceptual and theoretical frameworks. Moreover, she was engaged in many knowledge transfer and outreach activities, such as presentations and publication.

At the SSPG, Ladina Rageth’s translational research will focus on the functioning as well as management of higher education institutions and systems, with the aim to provide evidence that helps governments and policymakers meet today's and tomorrow’s challenges of the higher education sector.
