The Swiss School of Public Governance's (SSPG) vision is to contribute to more effective and rule-based public governance practices and to equip professionals for excellence in public administration.
The SSPG offers executive education programs in public governance and management. It seeks to enhance critical public administration capabilities by teaching relevant practical and theoretical skills for public officials and others working on issues of governance. It leverages the strengths of multiple ETH departments and centers, including the ETH's global leadership in the study of technology, innovation, negotiation engineering and security studies.
Housed in the Department of Management, Technology and Economics, the SSPG works across ETH departments and centers. Leading scholars from ETH and other Swiss universities, as well as experienced representatives from think tanks, government agencies and international organizations, teach at the SSPG.
The SSPG maintains close contacts with partner universities, government agencies, NGOs and think tanks. Through such partnerships, the School capitalizes on Switzerland's tradition of democratic, effective and rule-based governance, as well as the country's advances in e-governance.
The Swiss School of Public Governance was legally established in January of 2016.
