ETH Zurich and the University of Geneva (UNIGE) have launched the new joint «Lab for Science in Diplomacy (SiDLab)». This lab will bring scientific insights and methods into diplomatic, international conflict resolution and help address global challenges. The two institutions are thereby strengthening the academic contribution to bringing science and diplomacy closer together and thus contributing to the development of international Geneva.

This joint project was initiated in 2019 by former Swiss Federal Councillor Micheline Calmy-Rey, then visiting Professor at the Global Studies Institute of the UNIGE, and Prof. em. Michael Ambühl, former Director of the Swiss School of Public Governance (SSPG) of the ETH Zurich, and is supported by the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator Foundation (GESDA).
